Ferrari unveiled its 575M Maranello Superamerica, an open-top version that will debut at the January auto shows in Los Angeles and Detroit. The Pininfarina-designed Superamerica sports a 540hp V12 motor and an innovative roof that rotates from its closed position up and into a compartment behind the driver's head in ten seconds. One of the car's most novel features is a roof unit fitted with electrochromic glass, allowing the driver to adjust the level of tinting electronically. Ferrari is calling it the world's fastest convertible. We'll just call it one hell of a techno-roadster.
