Before the Wood Brothers won Sunday's Daytona 500, their last victory dated to 1976, and a finish that's considered perhaps the greatest moment in Nascar history. Wood Brothers driver David Pearson would later say he had a "squirrel on his tail," referring to Richard Petty's attempt to pass and the crash that nearly lost it for both of them.
