One of the more popular plot devices in literature is the use of unknown origin. You don't know your origin so all of a sudden anything you do is interesting. For example (warning, Spoiler Alert). Oedipus doesn't realize he's a prince, so it's a bit of a shock when it turns out that woman he's sleeping with is his mom. Luke? Yep, his daddy's the meanest dude in the galaxy. Aragorn? Guy's a king, f'real. And while we know where the Bugatti Blue Screen of Death is from, there's some debate as to who created the term. Was it someone at Coca-Cola or the team at Lattice? Who cares, jip1080's joke is still funny.
