Rarely, in college, does someone tell you not to sign up for a class because it's ridiculous. And with good reason. Some of the most enriching intellectual experiences came from classes I had no reason to take (Northern Lands And Cultures). However, there was one class I looked forward to and, in retrospect, left me with almost nothing. It was an Art History class (i.e. full of girls) about French Gothic church architecture in the 11th and 12th century based mostly on the Basilica of St. Denis outside Paris. I've never been there and almost none of its significance is maintained in my brain. I also didn't get any dates out of it. I got more out of my high school AP Art History class, frankly, because I got both why this is what Picasso's car would look like and Vavon's joke.
