Comment Of The Day: Loud McLaren Edition

It’s one thing to know that, technically, the new MSO Defined Titanium SuperSports Exhaust is a whole five decibels louder than the regular exhaust on a McLaren 570S. It’s another to know exactly how loud that is.

The new titanium exhaust for baby McLarens isn’t just louder, it’s raspier, with a full-throatiness that’s truly an aural delight. But, also, it’s louder. A lot louder.

How loud?

Except, apologies to THANKHANKGAAA, science isn’t dumb, as volume is measured on a logarithmic scale. So if you’re thinking with your extra-big Science Brain, it does make sense.

But even then, it’s fascinating to know just how much louder the new exhaust system is. It turns out, it’s a lot.

Congratulations, THANKHANKGAA, on your COTD win. May your ears forever hear only the sweetest of automotive songs.
