Formula One is back in Austin, Texas, and so are a lot of you. It’s truly the most wonderful time of the year here: the oppressive heat is gone and F1 fans from around the world return like the swallows of Car-pistrano. So, we’re meeting up yet again to enjoy drinks and snacks this Friday, and you should come!

We had to find a bigger indoor space this round thanks to a small chance of rain, but given my love of rabbits, I think we found the right spot.

Jackalope—the lovely space that has a giant horned rabbit you can sit on downtown—opened up a further south location (Jackalope South Shore) that’s a bit easier to get to from Circuit of the Americas with more parking nearby and the yes, another giant jackalope to sit on. If you don’t sit on the big bunny, we may have to have words.

We’ll meet there at 8:00 p.m. Friday, so bring your fanciest project beaters and join us. Here’s the details:

Where: Jackalope South Shore, 1523 Tinnin Ford Road, Austin, Texas. Not the one downtown. I repeat: this is not the one on Dirty Sixth. There are games inside and out. There are big booths. And of course, there’s a big jackalope that you can sit on.

Parking?: There’s a small lot next to the Jackalope South Shore itself, plus additional street parking in the neighborhood nearby. We know the drill by now.

When: Friday, October 20, at 8:00 p.m. CT.

Who: Kurt Bradley, me, you and whoever else you’d like to bring along. Bring the whole family, so long as they’re over 21. (Sorry, younger Jalops. Next time!)

Food: I’m really looking forward to this chicken sandwich. Full menu here. Disclaimer: the gigantic “Helldorado” drink should not be classified as food despite being tasty.

RSVP?: Only if you’re really that fancy. It’s not required—just show up.

See you there!
