Forget car shows. Forget race tracks. Forget museums. You find the coolest cars out on the street, and there’s a simple reason why.

When you go to an event specifically set up for cars, you find cars that have specifically made their way to that event. You find cars that have been polished and perfected, but not necessarily ones that are still being used to get people around. They’re not being used, you know, as cars.

Cars on the street are survivors, and I can’t help but find them more interesting because of it.

So we’re off again to go look at the cars parked on the streets of New York City, the most anti-car city in the country. If an old car endures here, you can bet it has a story.
