We make no bones about our love for Communist-era cars from Eastern Europe. And much as Stalin was to Hoxha, the Lada of its day was unquestionably king of the hill, lording it over such brands as Skoda and Wartburg with an iron fist that stretched beyond the Iron Curtain. Clarkson, however, doesn't like the Lada. In fact, he loathes the plucky little Russian beastie. Loathes it enough to employ it in a stunt involving earth-moving equipment and pyrotechnic charges, in fact.
