A teenager pretending to be Chief Keef attempted to steal a woman's car at gunpoint in Florida last month. The would-be carjacker/impersonator ran off when he saw the car was a stick shift.
The Pensacola News Journal reports that Escambia County sheriff’s deputies arrested 19-year-old Antoren Bell yesterday for trying to steal an unnamed woman in Pensacola on May 18th. At around 10:30 at night, three teenage girls flagged down the driver. When the driver got out, Bell came up, pointed a gun at the driver, and said the car was now theirs. The driver ran off and called the cops.
Bell and the three girls (one of whom was Bell's girlfriend) got into the car, but Bell ordered everyone out because he didn't know how to drive stick. One of the girls later told police that she only knew Bell by his nickname "Chief Keef." Eventually Bell was found by the cops and identified out of a lineup.
Bell was charged with vehicle theft, robbery and criminal mischief. His bond was set at $400,000.
