Does anyone see the contradiction here? The oil we draw from underground is a result of millions of years of decay...created by nature. I wonder what would happen if we failed to suck it out and burn it? Would all of that crude eventually make it to the surface on its own?
By burning, are we actually helping, not hurting the ecology? I don't really believe it, but playing Devil's advocate brings to light certain questions.
