Yep I saw these three and one more Sunday morning parked in front of the hotel I was staying in. A guy with a beautiful 1970 911 explained what was going on Sat/Sun at Niche Motors in Brentwood TN. There was a video posted on YouTube video from the brother of the shop owner showing the build. Read more

Not so fast - a massive majority have nothing but the most basic of bolt ons. Nakai does nothing but bodywork and kicks the cars down the road if the customer wants any engine mods Read more

Lots of RWB Porsche owners track their cars. RWB stuff is another class than something like a cheapo bodykit.

There are literally thousands of the same car running around. I’m with you if they were cutting up something important, but a garden variety Porsche isn’t that special nowadays. Read more

All these purists complaining about the riveted on fender flares when Porsche put them on the 993 911GT2 from the factory. I think the reason a lot of people like Nakai’s work, and not Rocket Bunny or LBW is that even though these flares are enormous, they still flow with the hips of the car. Read more

Small factoid: Not the newest, ran in to these guys over at a local shop that is building the latest RWB in a martini livery. Akira Nakai-san was there and everything apparently. Private event so I only snapped a few pics and rolled out.

I really don’t like these cars, but they do have the unexpected knock-on effect of making a stock 911 more valuable, so it’s not all bad. Read more
