Depends on the state. In some states, it is illegal to record the call without consent. And the operators are probably not authorized to talk to you and consent to a recording. (Otherwise, they’d record the call on their end).

I think it is a little more worthwhile in states like yours where the companies have a little more at stake. I think I’d recommend that you WRITE to them, however. It is much easier to make a sound case that way and you can also prove what was and was not said.

You do. Wisconsin’s lemon law allows for treble damages. My understanding is that its lemon law is the best in the US for consumers (Which would explain why - in that state - the MFRs might actually pay attention to consumer complaints).
