I think spookiness is talking about having to parallel park with the unwashed masses rather than your parking skill. :) I still see some Chicagoans park “by braille” and they don’t even have the courtesy to leave a note behind after leaving a mark on someone else’s bumper. Read more

Thank you! There are way too many questions than answers thus far. The 737 has enough redundancies that it seems implausible that the aircraft post-bird strike was somehow controllable down to the runway, but not controllable enough to deploy the gear (which has a manual gravity drop function) or the flaps, which also Read more

In this case, it means the aircraft, a Van’s Aircraft RV-10, is a homebuilt. Here’s a decent explanation from Controller.com: Read more

In Chicago, a writer in an Uber went up against another driving a personal car and a third taking the train. The results were even more pro-transit — the train took 64 minutes, while the Uber took 92 and the personal vehicle 100. Read more

You just tie your big airship to a building and hope it’s still there in the morning. lol Read more

This whole thing is stupid. There’s almost nobody who wants to pay more money to get somewhere slower. The people who are sick of tiny airplane seats and have money will just upgrade to first class, not book a ride on a luxury airship that’s slower than their car. Read more

I have no idea what that means. I broke up with her after a few months. We just weren't even close to being in the same place in life or even on the same page in the bedroom either. Hope she's doing well! Read more

I’ve somehow seen worse: A $2,000/mo payment on a then-new Challenger Scat Pack on a several-year loan. Most of the payment had nothing to do with the car itself. What gives? Well, the girl I was dating had a knack for driving fast cars, but never actually making more than a few months of payments. Her previous cars Read more

That being said, one year I did “darkside” a maxi-scooter with car snow tires. It was entertaining how much traction I had, but I don’t recommend it. I would say to go with studs, but they’re almost certainly illegal for road use where you live. Read more

I’ve been riding every winter since I got my license in 2018. I still do things the old-school way. I bundle up in LOTS of layers and hit the tarmac looking like I ate an entire cow or something. But, I do stay pretty toasty. I’m looking forward to seeing how your approach works!
