Nope it doesn’t work that way. The air coming in where the hood use to be creates its own high pressure and screws with the air flow. The under hood temps might be better but because you’ve created high pressure behind the radiator you will get almost no air going through the radiator which then leads to... higher Read more

Good point. I’d counter with the fact that the Hellcat has the fontal area of a Mack Truck compared to the Vette. That allows for way more radiative space. Also the engine compartment is half the size in the Vette. Meaning the packaging is really tight. A couple of our hoses run within an inch of the headers. Not Read more

A stock Boxster has half of the power of a Z06 and is massively slower around the track. If I were to reduce the power of the Z06 to match the Boxster then it would happily run all day and run roughly the same lap times. If you want that level of performance then you can’t run it for hours on end. Read more

It is to the letter of the rules for sure. The rules only state that the main hoop needs to be 2 inches above. Its the side bars that make it look wrong as those are below my helmet.
