I did a photography project with Avanti in the Stephen Blake era, and it was interesting to see how inefficient the processes were. They were pushing cars on carts down the line. My father in-law owned a ‘73, it was interesting, but not very fun to drive.

Nobody seems to mention that this is a money saver for them. Certifying cars for autobahn level speeds means better tires, better suspension, better cooling, more power, better brakes, and ironically - better safety. Read more

I understand why some may be upset over the 112mph cap, but if you take a step back and realize it’s part of their “no deaths in a car by 2020" initiative, then it’s a subtle hint that their cars are engineered to withstand a 112mph crash, which from an engineering perspective is kind of mind blowing.
