I feel like 99% of possible second owners for cars like this are the foolhardy and unsuspecting. If you’re rich enough to both buy and maintain one, you probably want it new. Somewhere there might be one wealthy buyer who considers it shrewd to keep the $100K, enjoy the luxury and accept the remaining cost of Read more

You know what would be the perfect use for a car like this? A retirement community where golf carts are the transportation mode of choice. It would probably fit fine in one of those 3/4 scale garages, and your dog would feel far cooler riding in this than in the rear basket of a golf cart. Plus it’s borderline safe Read more

Interesting car from an overlooked design period, a real curio. ND all day long though. Just because it is weird and curious doesn’t make it valuable. I love odd curiosities like this, but no. I would not pay that for it, not even in this market.

I wouldn’t touch this thing with a 10' pole. 165,000 on the odo is the mileage that turbo Outbacks were seemingly programmed to fail. I had an ‘o5 turbo (auto), engine failed at 16x,xxx and a friend had an ‘05 turbo (manual) and it failed at exactly the same mileage. Both were well maintained but that seemingly wasn’t Read more
