I was given a subscription to AutoWeek by my sister as a present for my eleventh birthday. Back then it was tabloid format and had AutoWeek on one side and Competition Press facing the other way on the other. That way you could read either as though it was its own thing.

This bike’s problem was that it was neither fish nor fowl. Too small and underpowered to be a fully satisfying tourer, and too heavy and ‘clothed’ to be a street fighter, it walked an uncomfortable in-between. I think it’s still a pretty cool standard, although I wouldn’t look forward to wrenching on it.

Good call, however that S2000's 240 ponies present in a very different way from how this supercharged Miata likely will. If you like playing up in the rev band and don’t mind a bit of a lackadaisical nature off the line then that’s a good option.

A fun bit of trivia on these cars: the e-brake is placed between the seat and the outer door sill. There’s a mirrored indent on both left and right door sills for this feature on both LHD and RHD cars.
