I see that nobody's answered the closing question (what do you do to record which planes you've been on), so I'd like to take the opportunity to direct my fellow aviation geeks to http://www.flightmemory.com/ . Read more
FYI, the tags on the flickr page not only confirm it is JetBlue, but also says "Houston Hobby Airport", so now you have a location as well. Read more

I wish I had some pics, but the coolest story I have is the custom 737 I got to go on back in '02 or so. My mom was a flight attendant for the Cleveland Cavs back when the Gund brothers owned them. The 737 had a $3 million re-fit to seat 28 people (16 in the players area and 12 in the coaches/media area) with a… Read more
This is why big twins like the 777 and A350 are the future. Quads just aren't economical to operate for most routes. While the A380 is a damn impressive airplane, I have to think Airbus made the wrong call on the future market needs. Read more

Huge avgeek here. Haven't heard any plans for AA to keep onto their S80s. If anything, since the merger with US Airways is closing, they would get rid of their MD-80 fleet quicker. Combined, US/AA will have too much capacity; US A320s will replace the MD-80.
You might be mistaking AA for Delta.. because DL recently… Read more

Reminds me of SNL's Loveseat.
According to Korean news, the flight attendant didn't ask first if Cho wanted nuts, and then provided them in a bag instead of on a plate. Cho then demanded to see the service manual, which is accessed via iPad, but the attendant either didn't know or couldn't remember the password. Cho then started screaming and… Read more
I met Miss Cho when I was at Korean Air a couple years back. You could tell she was very proud of the food and service on Korean Air and took their reputation very seriously. So this doesn't really surprise me. Read more
