Sure. I’m not saying that bespoke equals reliable. I’m saying that the Model 3 was designed for specific components from the ground up while the Model S was an exercise of pulling modules of the shelf from other cars and trying to make them talk to each other. Read more
I get where you’re coming from and the Roadster is significantly different in some aspects but if you take the motor and battery portion out of the equation there are not huge differences underneath.
The Roadster is a retrofit into an existing car and not one that Tesla built from scratch so it would be kind of pointless to look at what is shared with the Lotus since almost all of it is actually the Lotus. Read more
