Early Z3? M Roadsters are expensive but I think there’s a not-the-smallest engine option Z3 that’s supposed to be decent. I would say “early Boxster” but everybody will reply that they are too expensive to take care of. (I think you could do one under budget if you don’t put a ton of miles on it.)

Something similar to this already exists for the Jeep Wrangler aftermarket, as a way to get a big roof rack and still be able to remove the roof easily. I would love to see it on more vehicles.
