An Old School Porsche 911 Is The Best Teacher Money Can Buy

Yesterday Porsche pulled back the curtain on what is arguably their latest, greatest 911, the 2014 911 Turbo S Cabriolet. It's amazing, I'm sure, but when it comes to Porsches I prefer to go old school.

I bet Jeff Zwart is the same way. He's a photographer, filmmaker, advertising guru, championship rally driver, and hardcore Porsche-phile. He's also the subject of the latest video from our pals at Petrolicious.

Can you blame Zwart for turning out the way he did? The first car he ever drove was an original 911, and now he owns several, including an early white one and a Pikes Peak record-holding 1994 SCCA Pro Rally Championship Carrera 4, which we have seen before. He said he likes 911 because they always teach you something new when you're behind the wheel.

And as an added bonus, there's that sound. I could listen to those flat-sixes all day long. It's good to be Jeff Zwart.

petrolicious, please stop ruining my life. I lie awake at night sweating scheming ways to obtain something from the 60s with wood and leather insides, carburetors fuel pumps and all kinds of other mechanical noises whirring around me, old sheetmetal groaning but willingly taking the turns I carve through the backroads of Ohio in the fall.

I hate you petrolicious, but I'll never quit you.
