“A Racecar Is Like A Woman”

This is legendary three-time Formula One world champion Jackie Stewart in 1973, explaining how a racecar is "like a woman."

Stewart says it's "very sensitive. It's very nervous. It's very highly strung. Sometimes it responds very nicely. Sometimes it responds very viciously. Sometimes, to get the best out of it, you have to coax it and almost caress it to do the things you want it to do. And even after you've done all these things and the car is doing exactly as you want it to do, it will immediately and with no warning change its mind and do something very suddenly and very abruptly."

Don't look for anything like this coming out of the mouth of a modern racecar driver. That's probably for the best, really.
