Our boy Brian over at Rides hipped us to the fact that it's been a decade since New Jersey Drive hit the screens. The tale of joyriding car thieves on the mean streets of Newark was born of New York Times scribe Michel Marriott's series and Boston filmmaker Nick Gomez' desire to see it portrayed on the silver screen. Spike Lee provided the financial backing, and faster 'n' you can say "Bang Tango," a cult classic war borned. There's a celebratory, anniversarial screening in NYC on December 8th, so if the Gone in 60 Seconds remake didn't flip your switch, you might wanna take a look-see.
