Oh, So That's How Shifting Works In Movies

The other day we revealed the secret to shifting in the Fast and Furious movies. Fascinated, I decided to investigate this further, and found that while the Fast and Furious franchise obviously required something a bit more robust, there actually did appear to be a special version of manual transmissions used in movies.

Luckily, I was able to find one of these specially prepared movie cars and take a picture of the shifter — there it is up top.

Now it all makes sense.
