Truck YeahThe trucks are good!

GM has just announced they're reviving the Z71 package to the 2015 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe. They're scheduled to divulge details next month; so we'll see if it's an aesthetics-only kit or include the Rancho shocks and skid plates the Z71 Silverado and Colorado pickups get.

Here's all we've seen of the new truck so far:

Neat badge, apparently they want to release the whole story in "late September." It does not look like GM is going to bring this over to GMC at this point.

The first Suburban Z71 came out in 2001. While it wasn't exactly rough n' tumble, it's still one of my favorite GM trucks. Something about it just looks... right. Hope they can capture the same swagger with the new one, and it'd be even better if they make some tweaks to get some off-road ability back.

Here's a quick reminder of what the 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71 Package Plus was all about:

I currently own 2003 Suburban. Not buying another suburban until they bring back barn doors in the back - two vertically hinged doors. I can care less if it has Z71 package or not. My suburban can go to North Korea, rescue puppies. Drop off some nukes in middle east and still make it home for dinner. I NEED BARN DOORS!!!
