McLaren Formula One driver Lando Norris probably shouldn’t have much to laugh about—he is spending his rookie F1 season with a team that’s been the butt of jokes for the past few years, after all. But despite his DNF during Sunday’s Chinese Grand Prix, Norris has shown he won’t let a bad race get the best of him.
I’ll let you witness this beauty for yourself:
I would have had a significantly grumpier outlook on the world if Daniil Kvyat had torpedoed me into the air on the first lap. But I am not Lando Norris.
The 19-year-old driver’s Twitter page and Instagram is full of that kind of stuff. With recurring jokes about milk that I do not fully understand, light-hearted captions, and a sense of humor that is severely lacking in Formula One, Norris has quickly established himself as the new Meme King of the F1 paddock.
I, for one, am willing to kneel before Norris as Lord of Memes. Anything to save us from the onslaught of boring, boring drivers.
