This Super Clean 1994 Toyota Supra Could Top $90,000

Will this 1994 Toyota Supra with 7,111 miles on it and an accident-free history be the most expensive used Supra ever? I don’t know about that, but at $90,000 and counting, it’s eye-raisingly expensive, especially for a car not once driven by Paul Walker.

The most expensive Supra ever was a “$2 million” concept unveiled earlier this year that Toyota had no intention of selling. In the used market, the most expensive Supra might have been one of the Supras used in The Fast and the Furious, which went for a cool $185,000 back in 2015.

More commonly, we see Supras in the upper five-digits range, like this perfect green one that sold for $58,000 last year or a nearly perfect white one that sold for $80,500 earlier this year.

But this one has outpaced both, checking off most every box that might raise its value. It’s mostly stock as far as I can tell, and has had only two owners. From Bring a Trailer’s description:

This 1994 Toyota Supra has just 7k miles and is powered by a turbocharged 3.0L inline-6 mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Finished in Renaissance Red over a tan leather interior, the car was first leased in 1994 in Florida. It then moved to Pennsylvania in 1999 when the lessee reportedly purchased the car. The selling dealer acquired the Supra 20 months ago and has changed the oil. Since then, the car has been stored in a climate controlled facility as part of the selling dealer’s private collection. This A80 Supra is now offered in Hickory, North Carolina with the owner’s manual, a clean Carfax, and a clean Pennsylvania title.

Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter 2JZ-GTE inline-6 mated to a 6-speed Getrag V160 gearbox and a Torsen limited-slip differential. When new, the engine was rated at 320 horsepower at 5600 RPM and 315 lb/ft of torque at 4000 RPM.

It’s also, of course, a looker.

I suspect that near-perfect Supras like this will only get more expensive as the fifth-generation A90 Supra finally (finally!) makes its debut, and Supra nostalgia peaks even more. And yet $90,000 is a lot of money for a car!

It’s basically the the top of the used market. Here, for example, is Bring a Trailer’s chart showing its Supra auctions over the past couple years:

The most expensive Supra on that chart was this modified 1993 example with 29,000 miles on it, which went for $80,700 in June. This Supra has already outpaced that, with the bidding at $90,000 as of this writing. The auction ends tomorrow, though, so sky’s the limit.
