Coming up this Turkey day, while you’re still sitting around in a stupor working off your food hangover, MotorWeek is kicking things up a notch to provide you and yours with 24 hours of constant vintage car review entertainment. Welcome, my friends, to Motorweek.
Starting at 8PM on Thanksgiving Thursday and running through all day Friday, Motorweek’s YouTube channel will be streaming 24 hours of old footage. They’ve got decades of television to choose from, so we’re excited to see just which episodes they air. Will they have a theme, or is it just a grab bag of John Davis’ greatest hits? We’ll have to wait and see.
This is also a good time to remind you that Jalopnik does something similar with Group C-smas every Christamas day, filling the site with all of the Group C and GT1 content that you truly crave. It’s also an opportunity to remind you that Radwood 2 Presented by Jalopnik is less than two weeks away.
In order to get you pumped up to spend Black Friday with Mr. Davis and his truly unique - nay, beautiful - vocals, here are some clips from MotorWeek’s Retro Review series on their YouTube channel. This takes binge watching to a whole new level.
1991 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet - The weirdest car Porsche ever built:
1987 Cadillac Allante - Italian American luxury and style:
Ferrari 348 Spider and Speciale - Just look at that shifter action:
1998 Mustang Cobra Vs. 1998 Camaro Z28 - The height of the (frankly, bad) 1990s Pony Car war:
1982 Chrylser LeBaron Convertible - How can you miss this one?
I know how I’m spending my Black Friday.
