If you’re pretending to be a given profession, it’s a good rule of thumb to try and avoid anyone who’s actually in that profession. That’s why I don’t hang out at astronaut bars anymore. This is a rule 20-year-old Nicholas Keeton ignored Thursday, when he allegedly pretended to be a cop, and attempted to pull over an actual police officer.
STLToday reports Keeton, of St. Louis, is accused of driving his cop-like Chevy Impala, complete with siren and flashing lights, when he attempted to pull over another driver. That other driver was an off-duty St. Loius police officer, who was driving his personal vehicle.
The website reports the real cop took a little moment to hop back on duty and arrested the faux-cop. Keeton is charged with false impersonation of a law enforcement officer, the type of cosplay that gets you in real trouble.
St. Louis police have not revealed any other information, including whether or not Keeton had done this sort of thing before.
I mean, the guy did invest in sirens and lights, after all.
Idiot.
