It’s just a car, right? It runs and drives fine. It’s spacious, it’s capable, and dammit it works. So why do people loathe and mock these things?
As Regular Car Reviews explains (along with a lot of mishmosh about postmodernism), it all comes down to fear.
Because the PT Cruiser has transitioned from being a silly car bought by sappy old people, to a soggy hand-me-down from a now-dead relative. It’s the kind of car that takes people to such-and-such anonymous meetings. And you look at the PT Cruiser, and you see that you might yourself only be a few bad choices away from having one.
So spare the PT Cruiser your disdain. I’m sure there are cars that deserve it more.
