A talking pile of human waste dressed in clothing and calling himself a "Saudi Historian" and going by the name Saleh al-Saadoon actually said on a televised interview that he felt American women drive because being raped is "no big deal to them." Incredibly, this drooling simpleton seems to believe this.
The historian was on Rotana Khalijiyya TV defending Saudi Arabia's ban on women drivers when he made the fantastically inane statement. His fundamental thesis is that because it is theoretically possible for a woman to be raped if, say, her car broke down on the side of the road, Saudi Arabia was protecting women by not letting them drive at all.
"Gee, thanks," replied none of the women of the world.
When the host was understandably incredulous, saying
"Hold on. Who told you they don't care about getting raped on the roadside?"
... to which al-Saadoon replied
"It's no big deal for them beyond the damage to their morale. In our case, however, the problem is of a social and religious nature."
Yeah, no biggie! Just another roadside rape is all. I'm sure most American women just factor those into their regular commute time and barely even think about it again.
Idiot.
At this point, the host, a woman, and her two other guests, a man and woman, are doing their best to show that not every Saudi believes this level of intense horseshit with their looks of confusion and disgust.
Seeing that his "women don't mind rape" angle wasn't playing as well as it did in his mirror a few hours earlier, al-Sadoon changes his tack to suggest that a woman denied the fundamental right of independent mobility was somehow like a queen, because she didn't have to drive herself.
When the host asked him about the danger of rapes from these 'queens' potential chauffeurs, he had another brilliant solution, one that so far the Saudi government hadn't yet taken seriously: importing foreign, female chauffeurs.
This idea, that Saudi women shouldn't be allowed to drive, but foreign women could drive them — presumably because, you know, only Saudi women actually are bothered by the occasional rape or two, was finally too much for the host, who executed this textbook-quality facepalm:
Seriously, fuck this dipshit. Something is deeply, profoundly wrong with this doughy sack of moron.
Fuck.
