This is Earthrace, a biodiesel-powered trimarand built by a Kiwi former oil industry engineer back in 2007. With two 540 horsepower Cummins engines onboard, the boat can top out at 45 knots. In 2008, set a record for circumnavigating the globe on biodiesel.

It got turned an anti-whaling PR boat and then it crashed and sunk, but it still holds its title.
