One way to check if your exhaust system has any leaks is to hold a rag up to the tailpipe, and see if you see anything coming out where it shouldn't. One way not to do that is to also hold your face right up next to the exhaust pipe.
Because then you'll look like a coal miner.
But still, you gotta love everyone's sense of humor about this. Every day that a car doesn't kill you in Russia, is a day to laugh.
