Mayura Dissanyake is a gas station clerk at a Fuel Depot in Houston, Texas. He also just happens to be a five-time Sri Lankan Mixed Martial Arts national champion. So when a bunch of guys tried to rob his co-worker right in front of him, he made them suffer.
Dissanyake's co-worker was returning from the bank and had just pulled into a parking space, when two men jumped out of an SUV and attempted to grab him and his bank bag, according Houston's KPRC:
"The first guy I saw, I just kicked him in the face," he said. "Then I punched the other guy."
They were moves he learned from cage matches. Dissanyake has been involved with mixed martial arts for more than a decade. He says he was the national champion for five consecutive years in his native Sri Lanka.
The ensuing beatdown is just a complete symphony of swift justice, as Dissanyake pummels the attackers into wishing they'd never even seen a bank bag.
Two of the would-be robbers got away, but the one that was left behind wasn't so lucky. Dissanyake kicked him until he stopped moving, out of fear that he may have had a weapon on him.
The unlucky one has been identified as 33-year-old Odell Mathis, according to KPRC, and he has been charged with robbery with bodily injury. Police are still looking for the other two subjects.
Don't rob gas stations.
