I've had the 2014 Honda Civic Si for a few days, and I'm giving it back on Monday. In case you can't tell from this photo, it's the red one. It's the red Honda Civic. No, not the one in the back, the one in the front. I know, it's sometimes hard to tell.

The Civic Si is one of the few cars sold in the US that is still only available with a manual transmission, and I must say that (in true Honda tradition) the tranny is just buttery smooth. It's almost impossible to mess up a shift, between the perfectly actuating clutch to the way the shifter goes snick-snick between gears.

Sure, a lot of people hate Honda transmissions just for that, but I like that.

Oh, and it's got a big red light for when the i-VTEC kicks in, yo. Seriously. I love it. Makes me feel like a child. I am a child.

Things I like: It is the perfect car for a 17-year-old.

Things I don't like: It is the perfect car for a 17-year-old.

You can't rev the engine without looking like a twat, because at the end of the day it sounds like a Honda Civic engine, and it is redder than red with supremely silly wheels.

Maybe I can convince Honda to sell a sleeper version. Call it an Acura ILX, or something.
