A Vintage BMW And A Group B Rally Car Make For One Gorgeous Watch Ad

A vintage BMW in a dark garage, a Group B homologation car in the dirt, stringback gloves and car-inspired chronographs. Wherever this fantasy world exists, I want to go to there.

It's the work of Autodromo, founded and run by my friend Bradley Price. He's a serious car lover, building up his whole company to make watches inspired by the dials and details of classic sports racers.

I guess it's no surprise that when he wants to photograph his newest chronographs, he gets a vintage BMW (I think you can figure out which model) and a Peugeot 205 T16 road car. It takes style to pick out a little midengine rally monster as your background car.

Much of the credit should also go to the photographer Amaury Laparra, whose pictures are absolutely stunning.

The first set of shots has the BMW,the new Prototipo Nero and Autodromo's stringback gloves, which I've tried on and feel real, real nice.

The second set has the Peugeot 205 T16 and an embarrassing amount of my drool. I mean, it's got the stringback gloves and the new Silver Dial Prototipo.

Both of those watches will set you back $625 and the gloves are $125. You can find more info here, here, here, and on Autodromo's main page here.
