We might be able to have a look at the gorgeous engines of mid-engined Italian supercars, but when it comes to front-engined sports cars, it’s all a big coverup. But not in the Jaguar Project 7, by far the nastiest sounding car in Harry’s Garage, and possibly anywhere else.
Evo drove the gorgeous F-Type Project 7 both on road and on the track, and it turned out to be slower than quite a few cars that also cut under its $165,000 price tag. Not that it matters.
The Jaguar F-Type Project 7 is a stunning sports car; no one can dispute that. It's also said to be the quickest Jaguar you can currently buy. But all that style and speed will not come cheap.
We got our first eyeful today, and now it's official. Jaguar is going to build a limited run of 250 F-Type Project 7s, and with 567 horsepower, it will be the quickest, most powerful road-going Jag available.
Last year Jaguar introduced a concept called the Project 7 at the Goodwood Hill Climb. It was basically a D-Type homage in an F-Type frock. Of course, it was just a concept. Jaguar wouldn't ever build something like that. Or would they? Because holy shit this looks like a production version. (UPDATE: It's real!!)
