Zap, marketer of electric vehicles in the US, may unveil a hydrogen-powered Smart car in 2005. The company recently agreed to purchase fuel-cell systems from Anuvu Inc., maker of the Power-X hydrogen engine. Earlier this year, Zap signed a licensing agreement with Apollo Energy Systems for its alkaline fuel cell technology. No word yet on how much the car might cost, but we're figuring on some high-voltage sticker shock [sorry].
