Something hung in the air that Daytona summer day. Something that overpowered the sound of revving V8s, the oppressive humidity of a Florida afternoon, and the unavoidable stench of muggy NASCAR fans. Patriotism. It was this nation's Bicentennial and Cale Yarborough was celebrating his 2nd place finish in the Firecracker 400 with this monster slide.
