This is the shifter on a 1962 Kurtis Aguilar race car. It is bolted directly to the transmission, and it is the one thing better than a gated manual.

The Aguila - which means ‘Eagle’ in Spanish - raced in SCCA events and didn’t really win anything, but I don’t really care. It looks too good. This particular car recently sold for a tad over $400,000.
