Some cars, no matter how appealing, will always remain forbidden fruit to those of us on the Western side of the Atlantic.

The Mercedes A45 AMG, which is reported to have at least 330 horsepower from it's 2.0 liter turbo 4-cylinder, was recently spotted undergoing high-altitude testing in Denver.

Since automakers frequently traverse the globe to test new cars in a variety of demanding conditions, we aren't holding out hope that this is a change in Mercedes' plans for its next hot hatch.
