When you have a garage stuffed with a 1946 MG, a 1957 Thunderbird, an XK Jaguar, a C1 Corvette and a Ferrari Dino what would you drive every day? It's clear from this vintage advertisement that Volvo thought the answer to that question was a 1987 740 Turbo.
The 740 turbo wasn't just the typical Swedish box of safety with a little turbo power—according to Volvo it was "the collector's item you can drive every day". We aren't sure exactly what made Volvo think their boxy sedan was an instant collector's item but we sincerely hope anyone with such an impressive car collection drove something significantly more interesting every day.
