Who Needs A Recording Studio When You Have Volkswagen Bus?

Recording studios are wonderful, but not exactly cheap. A Volkswagen Bus is much more cost effective option because you can use them for recording and transportation!

Oakland based electronic musician Broke For Free has done just that for his song Van Music, where he samples various sounds with a condenser mic in and around his old Type 2. It all adds up to a mesmerizing effect, no doubt helped by lots of reverse delay and reverb.

So who needs to book out the biggest studio in LA for months to produce a hit? Clearly, all you need is a mic, a hammer, some found objects, a Volkswagen, and some ingenuity.
