Tuning isn't just for improving performance, it's a way to leave your mark on your vehicle. Sometimes, as we found on Friday, it's a bad mark. What's the worst aftermarket performance upgrade?
Not surprisingly, the cheapest upgrades often tend to be the worst value and the Tornado Air Management System may be our favorite piece of useless technology. Put the metal 'vortex creation device' in the air intake hose and you could see both an increase in fuel economy and performance! It sounds like a great way to spend $65.00. Of course, the Tornado does nothing and, if you're unlucky, it'll actually decrease performance and mileage. Every time we see a truck pass us with their Tornado Air sticker proudly displayed we just laugh.
