Independence Day weekend is almost upon us, and the rebel spirit is taking hold. Remember when rebelling meant building hot rods out of old-ladys' cars? (Ask your grandpa.) Well, times have changed, lo these 70 years. What's the ultimate rebel's car?

It's the T-Bucket. While their older brothers were building their rods out of dowdy Fords from the '30s, their kind of messed-in-the-head brothers were digging up old Model Ts from the desert and turning them into the much more crazy T-Buckets. Nowadays, you show up somewhere in a T-Bucket, people may not know what to make of you, but they will indeed get out of your way. (Photo: Chad Horwedel.)
