In a recent post, a denizen of RoadRaceAutoX.com riffed on car-brand owners' stereotypes by writing fake forum questions (note, they've since changed what we link to. Still kind of funny so we're keeping the link) loaded with character development. For example: Bentley Forums — I used the ash tray today. How do I replace it? What's the most stereotypical question a forum fanboy would ask?
Sure, today's QOTD is a little high-concept, but considering the original post didn't score any responses, we thought we'd apply our combined talents to helping him out. Here's one to get it rolling.
Studebaker Forum (via dial-up BBS):
What was the rocker arm ratio on the V8s. Was it 1.0 to 1.5? Most of the rockers I have checked were a hair's breadth to 1.5, but I've heard some say the stock pushrods can vary up to .040". None of those dead-eyed mechanics with their fancy computers, who are probably all junkies anyway, has any clue what I'm talking about. I'm making stuffed mushrooms for dinner, anyone want to come over?
