What it feels like when your tire blows out at 180 mph

Now this is what you'd call a real sphincter-squeezer. Lapping Daytona at 180 mph, Dr. Jim Norman of TRG racing suffered a tire blowout and immediately went into a spin. What happens next can only be chalked up to fate and physics.

Dr. Norman's ensuing 1440-degree pivot may not have been quite a "lovely pirouette," like Nick Catsburg's Abu Dhabi turnabout, but at least the good doctor delivered his GTC Porsche right into pit lane — facing forward.
