What Do You Want To Know About The Subaru BRZ Series.Blue?

I’m rolling in the special-edition Subaru BRZ Series.Blue for the next week. It’s gonna be a good week.

You’ll think I’m crazy for saying this, but I was actually more excited to drive this car than I was that Audi R8 V10 Plus I had recently. Supercars are a lot of fun to play with, but I’d much rather drive a fun car that I, and other normal workin’ stiffs, can potentially afford. A good $30,000 car is more compelling to me than a good $200,000 car.


Anyway, I’m a huge fan of the BRZ and FR-S. I’ve driven a few off and on since they came out but this will be the longest amount of time I’ve spent in one. I look forward to reporting my findings next week.

If you’re not familiar with the Series.Blue, it’s a 1,000-count special edition model that includes a functional aero kit that reduces drag, fancy 17-inch alloy wheels, blue accents on the wheel and Alcantara sport seats, and it only comes with a six-speed manual.


Things I like: It’s not as slow as people think it is, and while it lacks turbo punch, it has no trouble getting up to speed when you wring it out; it’s super tail-happy; aero kit looks pretty sharp; steering is excellent, as is the manual; tons of fun to drive at any speed; good on gas so far.

Things I don’t like as much: Interior’s not that stellar; infotainment system feels really dated; back seat is so tiny and impractical might as well not exist at all.
