What Do You Want to Know About the Absurdly Powerful Jaguar XE SV Project 8?

This weekend I’m looking after what Jaguar describes as the “most extreme performance Jaguar vehicle ever;” the 592 horsepower XE SV Project 8 sedan. What do you want to know about it?

The folks who loaned me this car made me promise not to take it out in the rain or put more than 300 miles on it, but that should give us plenty of time to find out what this pseudo-super-tuner car is all about.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the giant leaping cat decal consuming the back half of the car... kind of thought that was just for promotional videos, but I dig it.

Jag definitely committed to the decal aesthetic. In addition to symmetrical felines, there’s an off-center stripe running the length of the car and an enormous “SV” logo on the hood.

After about five minutes of driving, from my apartment to this parking lot to get a photo, I can tell you that the vehicle’s comfortable, the brakes have supernatural strength, and I already walked into the wing once so you’re going to want to watch out for that if you’re one of the few people who’s able to buy one of these cars.

Since the target audience is such a small sliver of the population, we’ll probably spend most of our time looking at features that make the Project 8 unique rather than giving it a regular road test, but I’m sure you’re curious about what this thing is and why it exists.

I’m pretty stoked on the wheels and skirts. Here’s hoping I don’t hurt them trying to park this thing.
