Oh Merkur. How I love thee. The troubled offspring of Bob Lutz and the inconvenience of the GMC Sierra name, the Merkur brand was a good idea ruined by a surging Deutschmark and a stupid name. Neither the Scorpio nor XR4Ti caught on, costing Ford millions. Sometimes imports don't work.
And that's what we're interested in today. We constantly kvetch about the cars we don't get but, sometimes, the cars we yearn for end up being failures. What's the biggest import FAIL of all time?
